Name: Edward Elric
Age: 16
Height: 5'2"ish (or just tall enough to be taller than Winry in his lifts)
Weight: Heavier than he looks! Automail adds like 50 pounds at least.
Medical Info: Missing his left arm and right leg; both have been replaced with incredibly advanced metal versions that function just as well as real limbs (although he can't feel pain through them). Has also been previously impaled—the wound has healed but still causes discomfort from time to time. He has also shaved a couple of years off his life by utilizing his own life energy in a transmutation to save himself as a result of that impalement. Awesome.
Eyes: Gold
Hair: Blonde, nearly always in a braid or ponytail
Physical traits: One metal limb. Due to his power he's able to change which limb it is. Defaults to keeping it on his right leg unless he has some reason to swap it around.
What's Okay To Mention Around Him/Her: I'm fine with anything
Abilities
Alchemy which is the power to break an object (or objects) down into its core components and then reform those components into another item of the same or similar chemical composition. For example he could take some wood and graphite and fuse it together to make pencils or some really wonky looking fossilized wood or something that requires both wood and graphite, or he could make paper from the wood and fuse graphite onto it for instant printing. What he could not do is turn the wood and graphite into, say, a bunch of clay tile. Whatever he makes has to be made up of at least some of the components of whatever material he's using otherwise he runs the risk of causing an alchemic rebound which can have devastating physical consequences. A rebound is how he and his brother damaged and lost their bodies, after all.
Additionally, because he sinned against god (or whatever passes for it in the world of FMA) with human transmutation, he can perform alchemy without needing to write a circle out. He only needs to clap his hands together to perform a transmutation. This power is limited in the sense that Ed can't transmute something he doesn't know the elemental composition of which really just means he's going to have to put in a lot of hours at the library to catch up to modern materials.
Dog of the Military
Dog shapeshift will allow Ed to transform into a norwegian buhund. He can also opt to just get the ears and tail so everyone can make fun of him. While in full dog form he can't perform alchemy unless he manages to scratch out a circle with his paws which is sure to be incredibly awkward and time consuming.
Pack boost which is basically a stat boost. When he's fighting alongside fellow Amestrians, he provides what amounts to a stamina boost. Comrades will find they have more energy allowing them to fight longer or with more ferocity. They can't go ripping doors off their hinges if they couldn't before, but if Ed jumps in at the end of a long fight a boost in energy could give his side the push they need to break through.
Height manipulation but he can only make himself smaller so we can all rest assured this power will only exist for him to have hilarious fits about from time to time. Maybe one day he'll have to swallow his pride to fit beneath a door. Tiny limit of about a centimeter in height.
The two above powers were replaced with the following:
Form manipulation which is essentially height manipulation, but with the added bonus of being able to change which limb his automail is on. Gonna be honest, this is 100% because I want to keep his automail on his arm to keep icons consistent. He kept his automail leg at the end of the series so he has one automail limb he can move around. If the automail is ever broken he'll be stuck unable to move the automail around until someone repairs the limb which has the added bonus of potentially limiting his alchemy if he gets stuck with an arm missing. He'll also still be able to shrink down because that continues to be completely hilarious.
Soul alchemy which is a combination of canon skill and shit I made up. First and foremost, he can turn himself or another human being into a philosopher's stone which is a pure energy form. While in this form he/his target can either chill out as an inert red pebble or enter someone else's body—which will require player consent! Additionally if a character is more willful than Ed or whoever he's turned into a stone is they'll be able to force him out or block him from entry. If he does make it into a person he can potentially take control of their body which will require IC permission. A soul's bond to its body is too powerful for him to override their control without it, no way around it.
While someone is in stone form, their body is essentially in stasis. Basically it means that if they were suffering a mortal wound that's purely physical in nature, it puts the whole "dying" problem on pause until Ed returns them to a physical form. This way he can effectively press a pause button on serious enough injuries until a healer can be located.
Finally! When a person has been stoned up and jammed into someone, if the carrier has a soul bond to someone else the philosopher's stone can be transmitted along that bond. For example, canon has established a soul link between Ed and Al exists, so if Ed turned Winry into a philosopher's stone and stored her in his body, she could travel along his link to Al to show up in Al. Like the most disturbing and alarming and just really creepy kind of teleporation there is. Ed could then reach through the soulbond to return the stoned person to their physical form and just pop them out there. So he could take Winry and "push" her out of Al and return her to her physical body there. Using soul alchemy at this level will be incredibly draining, and he'd only be able to do it once or twice a day at most before getting too overloaded with a headache to concentrate enough to do any kind of remotely useful alchemy.
Notes for the Psychics/Magically or Spiritually sensitive: If life force is a thing someone can sense, then Ed's has been artificially shortened by several years. Nothing else about him could ping.
Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: Sure
Hugging/kissing/other non-violent physical contact: Go for it, it'll probably be hilarious
Maim/Murder/Death: I am ALWAYS down for fight threads, but tap me to talk things out if you're interested in maiming or murder. Ed is never going to kill or maim anyone even at risk to himself.
